[HCH] Personal quick chat of blessings and journal jots

Feb 04, 2021 4:54 am

Hello lovely ladies,

Today's email is short and sweet since there's a lot going on right now.

Starting off with some GOOD news...

Praise the Lord, my hubby was hired for a local company here today!

Short back story: My husband has been on furlough for the last month, and then was finally laid off permanently last Friday.

With heavy hearts we've tried our best to keep our eyes on the Lord, despite the fact that there's also another trial underway.

Now, on to share with you a personal blessing...

A lady at church gave me two new things on Sunday morning that I've been wishing for, for a long time, but couldn't justify spending money on it.

One was those disc bound planners (you use these discs and can easily swap out papers, change things around, etc... they're fairly expensive, but can perhaps find some good prices on sale.

And secondly, one of those journal art Bibles in KJV version. I have admired those since I like art...and the one she gave me still had the wrapper with it, and she had bought it at Mardels for $40.

I almost wanted to cry... I felt like God gave me a big hug. Two things I have admired for quite awhile, and they were just literally handed to me for free last Sunday.

The ONE reason why I'm sharing this with you today is an attempt understand the LOVE of our God... just like when our children hurt, we want to give them a hug or do something to make them feel better, it's the same way with our Heavenly Father.

Psalm 103:13 says, “Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.”

God gives us hugs at unexpected times to show how much He loves us...those hugs are through family and friends that encourage us...or sometimes gifts of things that our heart desires.

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning."

James 1:17 kjv

My friend, God loves YOU so much! And hopefully, I can be an encouragement to you this year in some way...and many of you have been to me.

Keep Walking in FAITH,

Rhonda White (rhondawhite@outlook.com)

7 Journal Jots: (Use these ideas for your journal or ministry)

"Many of our self-induced trials come because we listen to those who say what we "want" to hear rather than to those who tell us what we "need" to hear." - Refreshing Daily in God's Word, Feb. 2021

"Anger isn't the real issue...bitterness is! "Anger is the result of bitterness. Confess your bitterness, and you'll get victory over your anger." - RDIGW, Feb.2021

"A lie always needs a truth for a handle to it." - Henry Ward Beecher

Dealing with Criticism: "By waiting and giving myself time to pray and prepare, I am better able to give a proper Godly response which is Spirit-led rather than emotionally-driven." - Dr. Mike Rouse

"Whenever you find that which is genuine, you will always find someone promoting the counterfeit." - RDIGW, Feb. 2021

You can't take the gospel to the wrong address!

*QUESTION: Does it line up with God's Word? This is our go-to question to avoid false teachings and opinions.
