[HCH] Happy Wednesday! Tips Inside for YOU!
Jun 11, 2020 2:20 am
Hello lovely ladies,
Tomorrow is the day! I wanted to have the "Fruit of the Spirit" Bible Study / Workbook ready for you today on HCH... but I guess I've been piddling around too much. Ha! And in sad reality, my laptop is also getting old, slow and cranky...
So, sometimes when I'm ready to grind and work, it decides it wants to do it's own thing...which is nothing at times. Hahaha! (One of the fruits of the spirit is longsuffering (patience) Guess I'm learning that well. (Rolling my eyes at my laptop.)
Everything is actually ready...but I like to proofread and perfect the formatting just a bit more before uploading. I know it won't be 100% perfect since I don't hire a proofreader, but it helps to wait a day and then look at it again with fresh eyes the next day. So, watch for that Email. I'll send you a super quick email when it's ready.
I wanted to share just TWO things in my personal chat with you....
I have been waiting on my dental appointment for quite a long while. I have an issue with one of my back molars. Next week is a simple checkup with Xrays. I'm praying that it won't require a root canal. I've heard though, that if you have pain sensitivity to heat, that's a red flag. ??
I'm no expert on dental issues, but it was hard having tooth pain all the time. So, I started putting one small drop of CLOVE OIL on the tooth and around the gum area at night before bed. It's kind of a HOT experience, but doesn't last that long. I live through it. Haha! Clove oil does some numbing, but also helps fight infection. I'm extremely thankful that I've been pain free since last Friday.
Do I think its cured? No, I think it's probably chipped, cracked or perhaps the filling from my childhood days is simply wearing off. BUT, the clove oil is keeping infection at bay -- and that's what I wanted to share with you. I bought the oil some ages ago to add to my" natural" remedies collection for such occasions.
The second thing I wanted to share with you is that I ordered some gospel tracts at no cost from Delight Thyself. What a wonderful resource!
I chose three different ones. One stack is a card that says, "Paid in Full" and on the back has a simple plan of salvation. Another stack is a card that says, "The Best Way I Can Say THANK YOU" and on the back shares about God's love and salvation. (Great to leave with a tip or send with a thank you card, etc.) The third stack of cards I chose was LARGE PRINT for our nursing home ministry. It says, "God Loves You" with the Bible verse John 3:16, and on the back, God's simple plan of salvation.
Handing out tracts wherever you go is a great addition to your Christian ministry. You can check out this resource here: https://delightthyself.com
If you have lost friends or loved ones who need to hear the gospel, you can even have a tract mailed to them! Here's the link for that: https://www.delightthyself.com/mail-a-tract.html

*** TOMORROW (Lord Willing!): Fruit of the Spirit Bible Study Workbook / Journal Pages
=======================================
7 Tidbits from my journal: (Use these ideas for your journal or ministry)
"Remember: If no one has heard your praises, they will in all likelihood never hear your complaints." - Refreshing Daily in God's Word May 2020 issue
O Lord, give me the heart to love others like Jesus loved others. (One of the best ways to point others to Christ is to shine Christ's love through you.)
True FAITH has no room for doubt. Where there is doubt, there is no true FAITH. (Remember, we build your faith by nourishing ourselves daily in the Word of God! - Romans 10:17)
"I never saw a fruit-bearing Christian who was not a student of the Bible." - D.L. Moody
"Sometimes Christian will say that GOD doesn't work, when in reality the problem is that they are simply too far away from the Lord." - Dr. Mike Rouse
"Closeness and intimacy with GOD is what provides the full experience of walking with Him." - RDIGW, May 2020 (Don't miss out! Make it a priority to read your Bible daily!)
If nothing spiritually is happening in your life, try getting closer to God. (Remember James 4:8)

Bible Verse of the Week:
"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
- Isaiah 40:31 KJV
Thought to consider: Every book in the Bible has a story about waiting.

Todays Tidy Tips:
Put some extra LOVE into your Kitchen! Choose colors that make you HAPPY. Don't get carried away... it can get too busy in there quickly. Currently, I have sort of a neutral shade of yellow on the walls. Mostly red decor, with a pop of blue and teal here and there.
Take time to declutter the extra things that you truly don't use. This will help you EASILY find what you DO use. PLUS, give you more storage room. Some items can be multi-purpose, helping you avoid all those extra kitchen gadgets that you don't really need.
Get as many things off of the counter as possible. This streamlines a quick cleanup and wipe down of surfaces. For example, I don't use my toaster on a daily basis, so I tuck in up in the cabinet close to the area where we do use it on occasions.
CLEAR counters keep you from feeling overwhelmed while working in the kitchen. If storage allows, try to only keep no more than two or three items on each surface area. What a difference this makes!
How about decluttering those recipe books and compiling all your favorite recipes in just three recipe notebooks? Example: Meals, Desserts, DIY Household
(TIP: If you're keeping a recipe book because it only has just two or three of your favorite recipes, you could cut those out to put them in your notebook. Or, if you wanted to pass that old recipe book on to someone else, you could scan the recipe and print it out first.
For those without a dishwasher: Run your dishwater as soon as you start working in the kitchen. When possible, wash as you go. It's nice to sit down to enjoy a meal without a boatload of dishes sitting by the sink. Some pans can be left soaking while you eat so that it doesn't dry on and become harder to clean.
Enjoy eating but... Start paying attention to how much a serving is! (Check the packages!) I know this isn't a fool-proof method of staying slim, but it sure does help me avoid over-eating when I get a reality check of what an actual serving truly is.
