I levelled up 📈

You know that feeling when you finally find a rhythm that just clicks? I hit that stride recently, and it all started with a simple tweak inspired by Ali Abdaal. I watched one of his videos on how he would’ve started a YouTube channel, and I decided to give his method a shot.
Here’s the breakdown:
- 45 minutes confirming an idea/title
- 45 minutes creating a YouTube thumbnail
- 45 minutes script writing
- 45 minutes filming
- Outsource the editing
- Post
In about 2-4 hours, give or take, I had a video ready to share with the world.
The process felt smooth, and the results? Well, they blew me away.
The editing part has always been my kryptonite. It’s time-consuming and drains the creative energy I’d rather spend elsewhere. But by outsourcing that piece, I freed up my focus for what I really enjoy: crafting the content.
Here’s what I learned:
- You’re not good at everything: And that’s totally okay. Delegate what you can and concentrate on your strengths.
- 45 minutes a day focusing on what you love IS NOT a hard ask: It’s amazing what you can accomplish with just a little bit of focused time.
- The iterative process is the best process: There’s always room for improvement. Even after the video is up, I find things I want to tweak. But it’s about moving forward, not getting stuck in perfection.
This approach was the level-up I needed, and if you’re feeling stuck, it might be the boost you need too.
Oh yeah, any suggestions as to what my next YouTube video should, could be, any be, honeybee? I’m all ears and excited to hear your ideas!
Until next time ✌️
