Our guest instructor is Lawrence Shum! He is an HBO narrator, producer, and casting director based in Brazil who regularly casts English-language voice talent for international projects.

During the workshop you will:

• Receive live feedback and direction

• Learn what casting directors are actually listening for in e-learning auditions

About Lawrence Shum

Besides being an actor and voice artist, Lawrence is also an advertiser, graduated from FAAP, and holds a Master’s and PhD in Communications and Semiotics from PUC-SP.

From 1983 to 1996, he worked as an announcer and producer at several major radio and TV stations in São Paulo, including Antena 1, FM 97, Excelsior AM (currently CBN), Gazeta FM, Nova FM Record, Band FM, TV Bandeirantes, and Eldorado FM.

From 2003 to 2014, he was also an announcer on HBO Plus and HBO Max.

Lawrence currently owns the Núcleo de Criação audio production studio
