Hi ,

So, summer (or winter, if you're in the southern hemisphere) totally caught me off-guard and now it's in full swing. What are your summer plans? Do you continue homeschooling, do a bunch of traveling, or send your kids to camps? We've always homeschooled year-round, but this year we're working in bowling and summer reading programs (which we've never bothered with before).

If you haven't already signed up, consider signing up for the Kids Bowl Free program. You can just sign your kids up for free, or you can add on 1-4 adults for a nominal fee (adding on my husband and me was about $40 for the whole summer!). Shoe rentals are extra, but typically affordable. We're going once a week and hopefully our kids will gain some skill by the end of the summer.

There are several summer reading programs available this summer with various rewards for reading:

My kids chose to pursue the Pizza Hut and Panda Express ones. Free food is always yummy!

Anyway, we have new blog posts:

  • Escape Rooms: Curious about all the different escape room options? Here are the ones my family has tried!
  • Sail Away is a favorite pirate-themed resource management game
  • Crows is an interesting tile-laying game that fits right in with Wednesday and Gloom for your Goth unit study!
  • Wednesday is based on the Netflix show and is a ton of fun.

And on the YouTube channel, you can find new play-throughs of Dragonwood, Prime Climb, Finders Seekers escape room, and RoadScholar: Play and Learn Spanish.

This month, you can look forward to reviews of Codenames, Here to Slay, Piratoons, and The Oregon Trail Card Game. New play-throughs will include Ghost Fightin' Treasure Hunters, Castle Panic, Forbidden Island, Hocus Pocus, and Back to the Future: Dice Through Time.

I hope that you and your family have a fantastic, fun-filled month! Until next time,

Happy Gaming!

P.S. As a thank-you for reading to the end, use code SUMMERFREEBIE to download a copy of Pizza Parlor for free! (If you downloaded the game without pizza slices, it includes them now so it's a perfect time to add them.) Hurry, though, because the coupon is only good for a few days!
