what you might have missed

Hi ,
Another month gone and we're that much closer to summer! Do you homeschool year-round, take summers off, unschool, or maybe you're already done for the school year? My family has always homeschooled year-round, but this summer, my husband and I are workamping nearly full-time hours. It's been interesting. Chris (my husband) hasn't started his summer job yet, so he's able to supervise for now. However, he and I have very different ideas of what is "good enough" for writing! (In my other life, I'm a copy editor; my kids don't stand a chance at writing poorly!)
Last month on the blog, you may have missed the following reviews:
- Forbidden Desert is the next game in the Forbidden series and a bit more challenging than Forbidden Island.
- Bugs 'n' Slugs is great (bug) trivia for younger kids, but we found it simplistic.
- Ingenious is a fabulous tile-laying game sure to keep my family entertained for years.
- I love mysteries and puzzles, so I was excited to find a Bepuzzled Mystery Puzzle at the thrift store!
This month, you can look forward to reviews of Cribbage, Kings in the Corner, Luck of the Draw, They Who Were 8, and A Pinch of Murder.
On the YouTube channel, we have play-throughs up of Empire Engine, Deep Sea Adventure, Potato Pirates, and Mad Gab. This month, you can look for videos on Code Master, Periodic, Valence, Compounded, and Ion.
I hope your spring is going well and, if you're wrapping up your school year, that you're right where you hope to be. If you ever need any help or encouragement, please don't hesitate to reach out! Until next time,
Happy Gaming!
~Ashley
