What’s The Guadalupe Loop all about?

It’s going to be packed with updates from my life, cool things I’ve discovered, and some good old fun. You all know I love sharing memes, music, and videos, and some parts of my life!

Here’s what I’ve been up to:

In case you didn’t know, I’m currently on the job market, and it’s been an exciting journey! I’ve been hunting for new opportunities for a bit now, and let me tell you, every second counts. ~120 days and Google tells me it’s been roughly 10,358,000+ seconds since my last day as a full-timer. 😅

I recently wrapped up an amazing chapter at Finless Foods. As part of their incredible team since the beginning as a founding member, I wore many hats and contributed to groundbreaking work in alternative proteins & sustainable seafood. From driving operational excellence to fostering a vibrant company culture, my time there was precious and fulfilling. Shoutout to my Finless team for all the great memories and achievements! Sometimes I can't believe how lucky I was to find this team as my first job since immigrating from Brazil.

What have I been doing in the meantime (besides applying)?

• Helping! My home state in Brazil had some tough weeks in May and June with record-breaking rainfall that overflowed rivers and flooded 85% of the state, causing widespread devastation. However, amidst the chaos, the community spirit has been truly inspiring, with everyone coming together to help. Despite the ongoing challenges with more rain and winter on the way, we remain hopeful and united. From California, I've been coordinating donations for flood relief. Each dollar donated equals five reais, making a significant impact. The donations are going towards animal supplies for the many shelters set up to help animals affected by the floods. • Watching! "Hacks" on HBO Max – a hilarious comedy about a legendary Las Vegas comedian and a young, snarky writer. Their dynamic blend of humor and heart brings fresh perspectives and plenty of laughs. 3rd season is on! 📺
• Reading! "The Joy of Geometry" by Alfred S. Posamentier – an engaging book that makes exploring shapes and patterns fun and accessible. Plus, I found some pattern-only coloring books, and getting those colors in is a great feeling! 📚
• Playing! "Cult of the Lamb, Sins of the Flesh edition" – a quirky indie game where you play as a lamb saved from sacrifice. You lead a cult, gather followers, and perform rituals in a darkly humorous and charming world. It’s a fun mix of strategy and adventure with a playful twist.
• Celebrating! Quinzé just turned 12 on June 20th, and I celebrate him & Fuca every day. Couldn't have asked for better dogs than these two.

• Networking! I’ve joined several new communities and have been averaging 5-6 networking calls or events per week. It’s been a fantastic way to make the job search more engaging. If you know of any events that might be a fit for me, ping me. The fun never stops! 🌐
