My Musings

Keeping this short today.

I'm heading off to see Thunderbolts with one son while my wife visits a railway museum with my other son. When I return home, I'll be locking in for the rest of the weekend or until I wrap up Book 5!

Mechhaven Missives

I just checked this morning, and I wrote 21,686 words in April. That's the most words in a month I've written for Book 5. Wow! There was more story to wrap up than I expected. I have two more chapters to finish this weekend and then I'll be done...at least done enough to send By Archangel's Light to my editor, who needs the manuscript this week since he's got another big project coming in...now the pressure is real :-)

I have two appearances coming up in May, and one tentatively scheduled for November. Come see me in person, buy a signed book (or four). If you mention you subscribe to this newsletter, I'll give you a special gift.

Comic Con Revolution Ontario: May 17-May 18th...I'll be in Artists Alley Table F15.

Pasadena ComicCon: May 24th (postponed from January 13) Table #TBD

Reader Nation (Las Vegas): November 7 - Tentative...waiting for confirmation.

The Red Frontier: Book 1 of the Red Tomorrow

Raymond Redmin, a doctor from the 21st century, suddenly awakens aboard a spaceship. He has no recollection of how or why he ended up here, hundreds of years in the future, crashing down to the planet Mars. It has apparently been 185 years since the Earth went "silent." The colonists of Mars have since created their own society. After centuries of war, the planet is now ruled by the utopian Zeltan Kingdom, a race of genetically engineered superhumans.

However, all of the disparate factions of the planet have come to descend upon the crash site of Raymond 's ship. Although his sudden appearance may yield some answers as to what has happened to Earth, war threatens to engulf the nearby peaceful settlement town of Remnant.

Raymond, along with a fearless young woman of the Frontier, noble Zeltan supersoldiers, benevolent androids, a quick-drawing cowboy, and faithful robotic fox companion, they set off on a harrowing journey to prevent the ship's technology from falling into the wrong hands. Encountering menacing cyborg pirates, experimental hordes of the undead, savage evolved beasts of a treacherous dark forest, and giant robotic humanoid battle suits called exo-mechs, these heroes are the last hope for the red tomorrow...

Trigger Warning...

Warning this book contains some very steamy sexual scenes but would be considered rated R, and not X. Some scenes do fade to gray but they get hot first... read at your discretion.
