Special Promotion
Below is a special promotion that Pax Machina is part of for the next five days. In this promotion you can get Pax Machina and seventeen other free books from top notch authors and established newcomers just by signing up for the IASFA Newsletter. IASFA stands for International Association of Science Fiction and Fantasy Authors. This is a great group and I'm happy to be sharing this and future promotions with you. Each month focuses on a different sub-genre of Science Fiction and Fantasy. Please read the rest for details. The sign up link is below and there are a couple of additional steps are required.
Welcome to the December IASFA newsletter and thank you for joining us as we talk about all things Science Fiction and Fantasy.
According to Merriam-Webster, Space Opera is a futuristic melodramatic fantasy involving space travelers and extraterrestrials beings.
That seems like an overly simplistic definition to me. It is the dictionary, after all. Still, Merriam-Webster is less unflattering than Oxford: a novel, movie, or television program set in outer space, typically of a simplistic and melodramatic nature.
But we aren’t here because we like to read dictionaries. We’re here because we love to read science fiction and fantasy. And even if you believe Space Opera is fantasy, like Messrs. Merriam and Webster, you know it’s far from being simplistic.
Space Opera is about interstellar adventure, larger than life characters, and far-flung civilizations. It’s about advanced species, mind-blowing weapons, and life-altering technology, in stories that start next year or centuries in the future. But more than that, it’s about the struggle against galactic empires, about freedom, justice, and finding a place and a family where you belong.
Whether you subscribe to one of the definitions above, or something completely different, Space Opera has something for anyone who’s ever wanted to shoot a ray-gun, meet an alien, or explore a far-off galaxy.
Come along on an adventure to new worlds. Meet the farmer boy who will save the universe, the young girl who will become a galactic empress, or the gunslinging bounty hunter with a heart of gold. Join us in a world where good will triumph over the evil empire, and a single act can change the fabric of entire cultures.
For December, the IASFA has a massive selection of Space Opera stories. Download them all. For free. Only December 14-18. And only from the benevolent order of the IASFA.
You can’t get there with one click because we’re fighting the scum of the galaxy. Here is what it takes to get you to your free books.
1) click this link https://iasfa.org/get-free-books/
2) Become an Insider by filling out your name (or online persona) and email address
3) Answer the math problem because we know ravagers suck at math
4) Check your email – you should have received a confirmation email thanking you for subscribing, but you have to click on this to confirm your confirmation because we know that is the kiss of death for scum-sucking bottom feeders
5) Your subscription is confirmed! Go back to your email for the final confirmation which, during the free promotion period, will include the super-secret link that takes you into the back-end of the site where you can find incredible titles from some of the top names in the genre as well as established newcomers. If you join before the promotion timeframe, then you'll get an email on the first day of the promotion with the super-secret link.
In January we’ll have a smorgasbord of Young Adult Science Fiction, from January 23-27. You’ll be notified because you are a member of our exclusive newsletter.
The International Association of Science Fiction and Fantasy Authors (IASFA) is a professional organization focused on aligning readers with authors. We are building the organization that currently numbers over 600 authors published within the SFF genres. Stay tuned as each month we’ll offer full book samplers for free along with less frequent paid book bundle promotions. Help yourself to find your next favorite author.
