My Musings
Two months into the year and they went by in the blink of an eye. March is here! I should be used to it by now, but March snuck up on me once again. To be fair, the last two months of the year are packed with activities and it's always a busy time at work. Combine that with my surgery and the holiday season was a blur. January and February are just as hectic. It seems like March is when I can finally stick my head up to catch a breath of fresh air and check out my surroundings. I guess I'm a little slower than Punxsutawney Phil!
I'll have some exciting news to share in the coming weeks and months. Just a quick reminder I'll be at WonderCon from March 29-31 in the Small Press section ready to sell/sign some books, take some pictures, and geek out with anyone who stops by!
I got out last weekend to see Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba (anime series) with my wife and one of my sons. This was the last episode of the previous season combined with the first episode of the new season into a feature length release. It was fun, and it looks like the upcoming season is going to be great.
Dune: Part Two is coming out. I'm hoping to get out to see that this weekend or next, if possible. I enjoyed the first one. and this is one of those movies that it's best to see in as big and nice of a theater as you can.
Mechhaven Missives
- Book 5 Progress-Progressing... I'm currently fine tuning a chapter focusing on Gladius and Brutus. I should wrap that up in a day or two. Next up will be an action oriented chapter with Angel or one focusing on Connie!
- I've been busy ordering books and other materials for WonderCon. This weekend I'll be channeling my inner graphic designer so I can wrap up ordering the remaining materials I need for the booth.
- Pax Machina Audiobook Update-I listened to two more chapters of Pax Machina (17 and 18). It's very exciting. I should receive the final chapters pretty soon. We are making progress. I think there are three more chapters and an Epilogue left to produce. After that we'll submit the audio files to Audible. at which point we wait until they post/release the book online.

The more you back away from a conflict, the closer you're getting to war....
She’s many things. A foundling, a princess, the last of her line, the first of the nameless order. She’s an orphan and grew up in a jungle. She’s homeless because a royal palace doesn’t fit. She’s trained to be a crack trooper, but she’s an even better friend. You could spend eternity reading a list of what she is. What she’s not, is an average human. After all, she was brought up by hundreds of mothers…and they’re all frontier gods.

Aliens have invaded Zona Nox.
For James Terrin, the Shadow of Galis, it is an opportunity. As the aliens distract the Trooper Order, he can rob them blind.
But things don’t go according to plan.
And soon enough, James finds himself conscripted into the very military he hates.
But not everything is as it seems.
Until next time, have fun and read a lot of books!
