- Please pray for more laborers to go to the harvest fields of 80 million Deaf globally. It's an urgent need. If you are interested in how you might help, please email us. If you would like to give financially, a link is at the bottom of the letter.
- Since our last newsletter, we took in a Deaf believer who was kicked out of her home and needed a place to stay while she looked for a job and a place to live. Ask that the Father will provide her a job and place to live. Pray for us as Ruby continues to disciple her daily in our home.
- Future travels in the month of September. Please ask for travel safety and also our son who has lately been struggling when one parent leaves.
- Please pray for our former believers who reverted back to the majority religion here. We are heartbroken after investing in them for many years and watching them taste the goodness of the LJC then turn away.

Hank enjoyed his time with the youth camp in a ME country, observing folks from different denominations get together for teaching, fun, and games. These students and young adults come from difficult living situations punctuated by a lack of scripture in their heart language. There were times of sharing the Good News and encouragement in a way these youth could really understand. Hank's proficiency in Arabic sign language grew just a little bit while working alongside national partners in the camp. One particular partner, S, comes from a neighboring country that will be the launch site for much of our future work throughout the region. We look forward to walking alongside him and reaching the Deaf of his nation for LJC.
Our kids have started school and we are glad for the familiar rhythms again. They are in 10th, 7th, and 4th grades. They are in good health and good spirits so we are thankful and pray that the Father will crown their school year with goodness and joy.
