I recently checked my email and got an update from DreamCon for their 2025 event. I had been on their waitlist for a few months, just like last year. In 2024, after being on their waitlist for a few months, I was approved. I anticipated the same happening this year.

But it didn't.

I was denied.

But instead of letting it break me, I breathed in and accepted it.

The song that came to mind was Optimistic by Sounds of Blackness.

"You can win as long as you keep your head to the sky

Be optimistic."

When life tells you know, don't stay down.

Keep your head high. Keep going. Roll with the punches.

Keep your dream alive no matter what.

This is the power of being optimistic. That's why Winston Churchill once said, "Success is the ability to go from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm”
