Are you focused on gaps or gains?

Hey kings and queens,
Happy Tuesday!
Hope your having a fantastic day.
And as promised I wanted to explain what makes this DreamCon so special. It happens July 26th to July 28th 2024
July 27th is my birthday!!
So not only do I get to celebrate my Birthday, but I get to do it while serving people with Great Gale LLC, BOLDSAGA and more for 3 amazing days.
Last year DreamCon had about 20,000 attendees and this year will potentially be even more.
The craziest part is, I almost gave up. I've wanted to go to DreamCon since 2021.
Since I couldn't then, I went on IG Live and recorded it while enjoying the show.
They had a super smash tournament (and I love video games, especially super smash bros.) You can watch it here.
Plus they had an Fantastic Frankey interview Sean Schemmel, the voice of Goku from Dragon Ball Z. Enjoy the discussion here.
2022 was a no go at all.
I applied for DreamCon in 2023 and was denied.
Then I applied again in 2024 and got waitlisted.
Right as the window was closing for applications and buying badges I was just going to buy two for my wife and I to go. But she said keep waiting, there's still a chance.
Then the chance came, I took it and I got approved. Delay isn't denial, have faith.
The approval happened at such a pivotal time, right in the middle of chapter changes, my road test for driving (which I passed) and my grandfather on my dad's side passing away.
See, life gives us all choices. We see gaps (the distance between our current reality and the one we desire) and gains (our achievements, big or small).
The one we focus on is the one we receive. Because like Tony Robbins says, where focus goes energy flows. As we focus on our gaps, we ignore our gains and spiral toward depression.
So if you want to make your first book, gap thinking focuses on how many pages you haven't written. The fact you don't have cover art, etc.
While gain thinking focuses on the logline you finished, the pages you have written, etc.
I had that issue for years. I didn't celebrate my wins. It was just grinding only. It was always on what's next. On how much was between me and my big goal. Maybe you've faced this too.
I challenge you to go to gains focused living. When you live your life based on how far you've come instead of comparing yourself to others, you free your mind. You gratitude rises as you rise higher and higher.
It's you vs you until the greatest you stands Tall!
This week I get the honor of driving to DreamCon. If you're going I will see you there.
(Superhack in gain thinking - I get to vs I have to.
By saying you get to, you're grateful for the opportunity. I have to is gap thinking, a to-do list that can overwhelm you.
Also, The Gap and the Gain is a book by Dan Sullivan and Dr. Benjamin Hardy.)

Tomorrow is about uncharted waters & dreams.

Until next time,
keep winning kings and queens!
