Hey kings and queens,

Happy Wednesday,

Hope you had a great weekend and your week is going well!

To everyone I met at Boston Comics in Color Festival 2024, thank you for stopping by our table and for your support. My wife and I truly appreciate it.

This was our best event yet! Loved every moment of it, if you weren't there you missed a masterpiece.

But before I go any further Let me tell you a story. It's so important I can't fit it all in this email, so get ready for this epic series.

When you go to events to vendor your book, if it's out of state, plan ahead. We did and it helped tremendously. Our hotel was less than 10 minutes from the Venue for the Convention.

While we were loading in our products, I spoke to Caiana and she helped me and directed me to my table. Then she said I would be the first person people see.

In my mind I'm like, "Ok, no pressure that's fine." Or so I thought. Then after getting lost for a minute, I found out where my table was thanks to the floor plan.

Then I saw my name next to 1st. And I was like, "Wait we're first?!?" Then I started to get a mixture of panic and excitement. even a little giddy. After seeing my wife and I featured on the emails and more, I knew I had to bring my A+ Game.

So then I went back to tell my wife the good news. As I'm unloading all our gear, I pulled out our newest addition.

Something I learned from a vendor last year.

When you sell your books/manga, have merchandise.

For us we brought shirts!

Having them displayed just on our table wouldn't match our aesthetic.

So we brought a retail grid to hold the shirts vertical. (If you have clothing merch for your books, I highly recommend getting one).

As I was unloading it, it happened. I searched the car frantically but couldn't find it. My heart sank to my toes and I felt so much rage rising up. Those 5 minutes felt like almost an hour.

I forgot the screws to reassemble it. The Retail Grid's screws were loose.

We were in Boston and I left the screws and Allen Key back in New York.

And we had less than 30 minutes to fully assemble our table.

It was in that moment I had to calm down and compose myself. My wife helped me as well to breathe and relax. We all feel angry at times, we just can't let it consume us.

So after I took it down a notch, I realized I had 2 choices, give up right now and put back this awesome invention. Or find a way to make it happen.

What do you think I did?

Tune in tomorrow for part 2.

Until next time,

keep winning kings and queens!
