Perspective and how to get it

Hi ,
When Was the Last Time You Questioned Your Perspective?
What if the way things are right now isn't set in stone?
What if the rules about how the world works are just limitations of the mind that you inherited?
If that were the case...
- What would you do differently?
- What would you change?
- How would you choose to live your life?
My Journey into Meditation
Years ago, when I started asking these deep questions, I realized something: before I could fully grasp them, I needed to reverse-engineer my own mind—one filled with overthinking, frustration, and dissatisfaction.
For some reason, I was always drawn to meditation. Though I had attempted it a few times, I dismissed it as something for monks or mystics. Yet, deep down, I knew there was something there I needed to explore.
Little did I know, meditation would become one of the most powerful and life-changing practices I had ever tried.
The Shift in Perspective
I remember my first few weeks of meditating consistently—it was frustrating. Honestly, it felt like it was pointless more than beneficial. The only reason I continued was due to willpower pushing me to change. I didn't really understand what I am trying to do or achieve. I sort of blindly followed what the meditation app said.
I can't pinpoint exactly when my perspective shifted, but I believe it was around 2-3 months into daily practice.
I would still get lost in thoughts and feel frustrated, but then—something changed.
It was as if another version of me was watching the chaos I had created in my own mind.
Suddenly, I caught glimpses of peace and freedom.
Then, my mind would jump in, asking a hundred questions before I could even process what had happened.
But over time, something incredible happened:
The space between my thoughts expanded, allowing me to be more present in everyday life.
I started seeing my thoughts from a slightly detached perspective. - Meaning that I no longer believed that every thought that came up about me was true.
To meditate is to observe:
- The thoughts running through your mind.
- Your mind and body’s reactions to external influences.
- The curiosity to see things as they are, rather than as we are.
Rewriting the Script of My Mind
Soon, I began dissecting every action and thought that shaped my behavior.
The more I did this—through journaling, conscious thinking, and self-inquiry—the more I realized that my old perspectives were built on limiting beliefs passed down by:
✔ Parents
✔ Society
✔ Schools
✔ Government systems
I had been living under rules I didn’t even realize I had accepted.
And guess what?
Every belief I found to be false, flawed, or unhelpful—I questioned and then changed, or at least tried to.
Whether through journaling, affirmations, or autosuggestion, my perspective on life transformed.
Sure, it took time, but I knew something powerful:
I was born free of these limitations. If I had been conditioned once, I could recondition myself again—this time, on my own terms.
Where I Am Now
I’m still working through life's lessons as they come.
And I know they’ll never stop—but I’m at peace with that.
I have unshakable faith in myself, my purpose, and my ability to handle whatever comes my way.
I can feel deep gratitude—not just on my best days, when everything aligns, but also on my worst days, when I can’t even get out of bed due to some silly condition.
If I managed to get here, so can you. And I promise you it is infinitely more fun to live your life this way. I don't know what tomorrow brings, and I am ok with that, heck, I am actually excited.
Your Perspective = Your Choice
If you zoom out, you’ll realize something:
Everything is a choice.
A choice you get to make every moment of every day.
But before you can make that choice, you need to shift your perspective.
So if you want to:
✅ Invest in self-development
✅ Discover who you truly are
✅ Get rid of what no longer serves you (anxiety, overthinking, negativity...)
Start with a daily practice of meditation. You are already where you need to be, and have all the tools needed to live the life you want. You just need to go out there and get it.
Invest 10min in You
Imagine reading this email in 2010, and it told you:
🚀 Go buy $10 worth of Bitcoin.
Would you have done it?
Well, this is your second chance—but the payoff will be even greater.
10min a day will pay dividends because you will unlock more of yourself.
And there is only one you, unique and special individual. Some day this ride will end, how do you want the story to go?
I’d Love to Hear From You
Do you have experience with meditation?
Would you like to learn more about different types?
Hit reply and let me know—I’d love to hear your thoughts!
P.S. I am trying out different formats, as suggested by my amazing wife. She had some good feedback on last few posts, and I know that just putting this here will make her super uncomfortable. That being said, I would love to hear more suggestions on what makes these an easier read.
Have a great weekend, and until next Friday—
Peace.
