I'm Going To Listening To You

Last week, I tried to push the living daylights out of a digital product.

I didn't do this on my main email list.

Instead, I used the Gumroad platform to target people who took advantage of my free guides.

After the email marketing assault, no one budged on my offer.

This shows me one critical thing:

No one on my list cares about writer's block.

This is reflected in my poor open rates for my previous emails sent out around this subject.

After looking at the data, I decided to do something drastic:

Make the course free.

Only problem is, Gumroad won't let me do that.

All free products on the platform have to have less than 250mb of memory.

Since my course has a bunch of videos in it, it can't be free.

But I've done some tinkering and have managed to get it down to $1+.

For context, I was originally going to sell this product for $37.

And as a genius email marketer, I thought people would buy it after threatening to put the price up.

I've learnt my lesson.

I'm not going to sell this thing for $97.

I'm not even going to sell it for $37.

All you have to do is pay $1.

Will everything I make be this cheap?

Obviously not.

But the data doesn't lie.

No one wants to solve writer's block.

At least not urgently.

And because I don't want this thing to go to waste, I'm willing to offer it for basically free.

I spent time making this thing.

And honestly, I'm really proud of it.

One of my main goals for 2024 was to create a digital product.

We're only in March and I've already created 4.

Honour me by getting value from this one.

All the best,

Godfrey
