The Truth About Content Creation
Feb 26, 2024 4:00 pm
If you want to be a content creator, good.
You’ve identified a trend that’s only becoming more and more popular by the year.
Many people (wrongly) believe that competition is a bad thing.
They assume that the content creator industry has now become a red ocean and there’s no point trying to pursue a career in it.
This couldn’t be further from the truth.
In reality, this industry is only just beginning.
And it will never reach a level of market saturation where no one can enter it.
Let me explain why.
Although this field may be extremely competitive, people are making a false assumption.
They’re assuming that everyone who gets into it will magically have the exact
same work ethic and similar drive to succeed.
This clearly isn’t the case.
People may think they want to create content.
But as soon as their first post gets 0 views and their dreams are instantly shattered, they give up forever.
This isn’t an understatement.
This actually happens.
Many people may want to be content creators, but the vast majority won’t.
I’d argue 99% of people will give up seconds after they start.
Why?
Because their expectations are completely unrealistic.
They’re expecting instant results for a minimal amount of effort.
Once those expectations are shattered, they’re left reeling in pain.
In addition to this, they can’t help comparing themselves to the other creators who are crushing it.
This comparison leads to a deep loss of self-worth and destroys any semblance of self-belief which used to exist.
As a result, they quit.
Here’s where the killers come in.
The killers are people who post like maniacs and understand that results are not guaranteed.
But these straight savages also know that the longer they stay in the game, the better their chances are of succeeding.
These are the insane people that can post content daily for an entire year and still feel unfazed when their content doesn’t hit.
They know that the more they swing, the more they’ll hit.
And these are the rarest breeds of people who get into this industry.
Although these forces of nature may take a while to get going, once they do they’re unstoppable.
These insane individuals will not stop testing and iterating until they win.
They don’t care if it takes 1 year.
They don’t care if it takes 10.
They just know that eventually they’ll make it happen.
The reason I call these people mental is simple:
They’re engaging in something compeltely unnatural.
In this context, the people who give up are acting completely logically.
It makes sense to give up when results are not coming in.
It makes sense to stop doing something that isn’t working.
But here’s the thing:
Success isn’t logical.
It’s unnatural.
It’s anomalous.
It’s exceptional.
And this is why it’s so weird.
The people who can keep doing something without being rewarded for their
efforts are bizarre.
But this exact trait is the thing that’s making them excel.
Most people simply don’t have this.
They’re normal.
And success?
Success is abnormal.
Hence why you have to do downright strange things to achieve it.
This is why the content creation space isn’t competitive.
Not only that, it never will be.
All you have to do is show up for your entire existence and there’s zero chance you’ll fail.
The problem is, most simply don’t want to do that.
And I don’t blame them.
That’s a completely normal position to hold.
But if you do want to succeed, the blueprint has already been laid out for you.
There are already countless people who’ve found winning formulas for content.
Simply by turning those winning formats into content of your own creation will
yield incredible results.
And since you’re different from everyone else, the content will automatically be
unique.
Even if the style was taken from somewhere else.
If you're ready to start creating content, you're going to have some obstacles in your path.
Specifically writer's block.
Luckily for you, I've developed a system that can destroy it forever.
It's called Writer's Block Beatdown, and you can get it right here.
