My Exclusive Author For Today Is
Sunny Briar
No matter how full her bookshelves may be, she always has room for more vampire lore...
Sunny Briar grew up roaming the grounds of UC Berkeley, the campus her professor father called home. When she became a student, the Berkeley library remained her favorite place in the world, and she dreamed of one day seeing her own books on the shelves. After a few years working in a stuffy office, Sunny left the corporate world to focus on her true passion—writing romance novels about characters who love freely, openly, and with their whole hearts…whether or not those hearts are beating.
Sunny’s books weave paranormal elements with themes of soul-deep longing, forbidden love, and connections strong enough to overcome any obstacle. Full of lush settings and college-town charm, Sunny's books use heartache and tension to explore humanity—and beyond.
Today, Sunny lives in Berkeley with her husband, who melted her heart with his smile when they first met (and still does). After a whirlwind romance that served as the inspiration for one of Sunny’s books, they married in a century-old chapel and moved into a historic cottage together, where they live with their two children Amelia and Samuel, their spoiled (but loveable) Boston Terriers Lilly and Peanut, and their snuggly kittens, Prizee and Misty.
Sunny loves the idea of living life to the fullest, savoring every second and embracing new adventures. Despite how busy life gets, Sunny makes a weekly pilgrimage to the Berkeley library to relax, soak in the smell of old books, and draw inspiration.

Where Storm Meets Frost: The Healer's Prophesied Mate
The last vision I had of my fated mate was him dying in my arms.
Now the brooding Mountain Cat tracker is at my door, demanding I join his mission to find missing shifters.
Magnus Ironwood is six feet four inches of ice-magic and lethal grace, and amber eyes that see right through my healer’s facade.
He thinks I’m just a fragile Storm Eagle medic.
He has no idea I can see death before it strikes.
Every time he steps between me and danger, my visions intensify.
I see his massive snow leopard form taking a killing blow meant for me, his heart stopping as I pour every ounce of healing magic into his failing body.
The same ending, over and over with him choosing my life over his.
The worst part? My traitorous body burns every time he touches me.
When our magic accidentally connects during a healing, the mate bond practically screams between us.
He looks at me like I’m already his, speaks about "when" we complete the bond, not "if." His clan even makes me prove I’m worthy of him through trials that nearly kill me.
But I passed, because despite the death sentence hanging over us, I want him with a desperation that terrifies me.
Now we’re tracking a mad scientist turning shifters into monsters, and my visions are getting worse.
Magnus swears he’ll claim me properly as his mate once this is over, promises we’ll have forever.
If only I could stop seeing him die first.
