I hope this email finds you in good health after the impact of Typhoon Bolaven. I am writing to provide an update on the current situation regarding the damage assessment duty at our schools.

As you may know, our administrative and staff members, who are 12-month employees, are currently performing the damage assessment duty. However, I would like to clarify that teachers are exempt from this responsibility. That being said, some teachers may wish to come in after the buildings are open and prepare their classrooms for kids. This is voluntary.

I am optimistic that we will be able to reopen all schools for instruction tomorrow. However, if some schools have to delay their reopening due to repairs, we will need to work out extra days at the end of the year.
