Pizza Hut Book-It

Pizza Hut Book-It program is in full swing, and GFT has some packets to give away to inspire your students to read. BOOK IT! motivates children to read by rewarding their reading accomplishments with praise, recognition and pizza. The program is simple, flexible, fun and free to use in your classroom! BOOK IT! was created in 1984 and currently reaches more than 14 million students and 37,000 PreK-6 grade schools annually.

Startbucks Workers United

Labor Day weekend was a major event for our SBWU campaign, and community allies like you are a huge reason why we had so many successful events over the holiday! We hosted 129 store Sip Ins nationwide and boosted the number of community allies that signed our #NoContractNoCoffee pledge!

To follow up on this amazing activity, we want to ask you to contribute what you can to the newly established Starbucks Workers Solidarity Fund. It’s a great time to contribute, because a generous donor is offering to match up to $50,000 in donations to the Starbucks Workers Solidarity Fund. Donations are being raised now so that workers can begin applying for cash support later this year.

That means that if we hit our $50,000 goal, we’ll be able to fund $100,000 in stipends for organizing Starbucks workers — that’s game-changing money for worker-led movements going up against the largest coffee chain.

The Starbucks Workers Solidarity Fund is a fund established and operated by the Coworker Solidarity Fund not Workers United or SBWU, and was created to support Starbucks workers as an act of mutual aid. Solidarity, not charity. 100% of your gift goes directly to helping workers fight to improve their workplaces, or to cover the personal costs of organizing—unpaid time off, resources if they lost their jobs or their hours were reduced, and more.
