You know it is almost time for the upcoming school year when you get reminders for the annual GFT TB skin test. I hope that your summer has been pleasant and full of rest and relaxation. Before diving into the details of the skin test, I would like to touch on qualifying for a Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program.

If you have been working for GovGuam or a not-for-profit organization and had a student loan for 10 years, you might qualify for a loan forgiveness. The American Federation of Teachers (AFT) wants to help you qualify before the October 31, 2022, deadline that is fast approaching. AFT helped its members get $8.1 billion forgiven through the PSLF program since winning a settlement with U.S. DOE. Email me at sharma@gftunion.com for more details. The TB Skin Test event is for GFT members and their immediate family only. Non-members may sign up to become GFT members to qualify. Please bring a valid ID at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time. Notify the front desk if your immediate family members will need assistance. Wearing a mask for this event is optional but recommended for your safety and the safety of the volunteers.
