Best love advice-- ever.

💖💖 Happy Valentines, ! 💖💖
I hope that it has been a beautiful day for you and your loved ones!
As for me, aside from the little exchange of flowers and chocolates with my siblings and parents, I spent the day quietly-- I mean, there were no balloons, no super special meal or any kind of fancy valentine-sy setup. But all throughout the day, I was just certain and sure that I am loved and that I am giving love to the people around me, the best way I know how-- and that quiet assurance is what makes me feel secured, even if I don't have a romantic setup to share on my own social media profiles.
I think I got this from one of the best love advices I've heard, ever. And you know where I got it from? As corny as it may seem, I actually got it, not from church or from a wise old friend, but from a Filipino movie entitled "Starting Over Again". (If you haven't watched it and you'd like to see a glimpse of what true love is, I highly suggest you search for it in Netflix, right now! 😅)
Here's the clip where my favorite lines on true love were mentioned by Iza Calzado. Highlight:
Our love may be quiet and boring, but it's sure-- with the right amount of respect and trust, and even an allowance for mistakes. I love him, Ginny. And in love, there is no fear. I pray that one day you find that kind of love for yourself, too.
Again;
(1) Quiet but sure.
(2) Right amount of respect and trust.
(3) Allowance for mistakes.
When a relationship (whether romantic or platonic, old or new) is gifted with those three, then I think each day can be a quiet but confident valentines ❤️
As I write this, I pray for that kind of love to fill your life, every single day. 🙌
With love and prayers,
Gretchen 😇
