Stop Disqualifying Yourself: You Are Worthy of Greatness
Ever caught yourself thinking you’re too old or not good enough to chase your dreams? Many of us have been there, convincing ourselves that we lack the qualifications to pursue what we truly want.
This mindset can be a major roadblock, preventing us from taking steps toward our dreams. But here’s the thing: if you have a dream, you’re already qualified to achieve it.
The Trap of Self-Disqualification
It’s easy to fall into the trap of self-disqualification. We tell ourselves stories like, “I’m too old,” or “I don’t have what it takes.” These thoughts can be crippling, keeping us stagnant and hesitant to make moves toward our dreams.
But what if you flipped the script? What if you started believing that you wouldn’t have this dream if you weren’t meant to achieve it?
My Self-Disqualification
What kept me from pursuing my own dreams of becoming a speaker, author, and business owner was that I used to tell myself I was too old to go after my dream. I told myself I didn’t have what it takes.
This kind of thinking held me back for a long time. But everything changed when I started believing in myself and acknowledging my worthiness.
When I embraced the idea that I was qualified, I began taking action, and my dreams started to become my reality.
Belief Fuels Action
The moment you believe you are qualified to realize your dream, something magical happens. You take action.
That action, fueled by belief, propels you toward your dreams. It’s a powerful cycle: believe, act, achieve, which leads to your dream fulfillment.
Three actions you can take to stop disqualifying yourself:
1) Change Your Inner Dialogue: Start by identifying negative self-talk and replace it with positive affirmations. Whenever you catch yourself thinking, “I’m too old” or “I don’t have what it takes,” consciously change that narrative to, “I am capable and ready for this challenge.” Regularly practice this to build a more supportive mindset.
2) Set Small, Achievable Goals: Break your larger dreams into smaller, manageable steps. This helps you build confidence as you achieve each milestone. By focusing on small wins, you reinforce the belief that you are capable and moving closer to your goal.
3) Surround Yourself with Support: Engage with a community or individuals who encourage and believe in your potential. Surrounding yourself with positivity and support can help reinforce your belief in your worthiness and capabilities, making it easier to take action toward your dreams.

It’s time to stop disqualifying yourself because you have what it takes to make your dreams come true. So, silence the doubts and embrace your potential because You Are WORTHY TO BE GREAT!
