As many of you know, for several years now, I have been building my company inGENEious, LLC. I've had the honor of touching countless lives through my Keynote Speeches at Schools and Colleges, Workshops in Juvenile Detention Centers, my Books, and over 1,200 Online Motivational Videos.

These are the results that people can see externally, but let me tell you about the things that went on internally within the business.

Like most new business owners, I started and have been sustaining my company with my own money. I used my savings, money I earned from Substitute Teaching, as well as money from Donating Plasma.

What many of you don't know and I'm no longer embarrassed to say is my first book "Overcoming Your Empty Closet" was financed from money I got from donating plasma. At the time, I had used up all my business capital through marketing campaigns as well as several failed product ideas so when my back was against the wall, instead of playing the victim I decided to write and sell a book.

After spending this summer sending well over 2,000 emails to individual schools, School Districts Superintendents and Staff, Huge Non-Profit and Not For Profit Organizations and conducting several sales meetings with Event Planners to convince them to bring me in to speak at their event. I seriously considered shutting down my business and giving up my dreams because I got tired of the constant rejection I've been facing the last five years.

But God and that little boy inside of me who grew up Fatherless with no self-worth; whose pain has given him a huge heart to help others, wouldn't let me.

So therefore quitting is not an option! Instead I've decided to continue to move forward with the superb work ethic and writing and speaking gifts I've been blessed with so I can use my experiences to help others.

In my frustration over the years, I've been diligently working and praying for a breakthrough and the reason I'm sending you this message is because I've finally got the Breakthrough Opportunity I've been hoping for.

A day ago, I had a call with an organization's representative and I was informed that I've been selected to speak at their Leadership Conference in Tennessee. This will be my biggest event ever, and I'm extremely excited but also very concerned.

You see, I was hoping the event would be in October because that would give me a lot of time to replenish the money I've spent marketing my business over the summer.

During my conversation with the organizations representative I was informed that they would not pay for my airplane ticket, hotel and rental car upfront because they were not sure what would happen with all the Airplane Cancellations. Instead, I must pay for those expenses myself, and by contractual agreement I will be reimbursed in case of an cancellation.

At the Leadership Conference, I will be conducting 3 workshops with hundreds of teens that will include many leadership activities that I want to reward participants who courageously volunteer to take lead roles in those activities, copies of my plasma financed book, "Overcoming Your Empty Closet".
