Industrial and Organizational Psychology
Before you go I got the feeling that you need to hear this...
I started this newsletter because my mission and passion is to help psychology graduates to pass the board examination for Registered Psychometrician in their first take. One psych student at a time.
See, review materials are just secondary.
Hoarding the latest psychology video lectures, drill tests and books will NOT give ‘YOU’ a 60% chance to pass the upcoming board exam.
(based on the latest board exam data 6,800 out of 10,670 number of passers)
At the end of the day, the board examination is just an ‘exam’. Like any other exam.
The one single skill you need is...
R-E-T-E-N-T-I-O-N
It is the ability to remember and retain what you study overtime.
Pag na mental block ka while taking the test. That right there is the worst possible scenario.
Though I sound like a high level ‘board exam coach guru’.
Unfortunately, I have my fair share of struggles too.
Since I’m never been in the Dean's List, You can’t see me around the campus bringing all the humpty dumpty at nagkaka palang psychology books.
Most of the time, I'm absent from classes. Ma Abnormal Psychology man o PE.
But after graduation, I decided to take the board examination. So yun nga, Nag enroll to a review center. Then take their ‘diagnostic exam’.
Then guess what?
The results came in and my scores were... (tentenen insert suspense music)
28/100 for Theories of Personality
32/100 for Abnormal Psychology
19/100 for IO Psychology
and a screaming 25/150 for Psych Assessment
I don’t know about you. But, I can clearly see the face of Sigmund Freud smirking at my scores. All my hopes of becoming a Registered Psychometrician went downhill.
Right then and there. I dedicate my time and energy. Learning the secrets on remembering, speed reading, note taking, mind setting, drill test taking and time management.
Coaching students ranging from fresh graduates, teachers and professors, mommies and daddies, psychology alumnus, and even students from other review centers.
And I have a ‘feeling’ that YOU have a fair share of struggle too.
So, Here’s what you can expect of me in the following days.
# 1. How to Study Less and Remember More?
# 2. The LOST Productivity Technique ‘EVEN’ a 5th Grader Can Do
# 3. How to Get Rid of Review Laziness in Less than 7 Days?
Truth be told, I can’t wait to get started.
Rooting for you to pass BLEPP this year,
Sir Gem ‘Palaging Absent’ Lomod, Rpm.
