Chase Oliver Announces Campaign for Chairperson of the Libertarian Party of Georgia
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 3, 2025
Chase Oliver, who ran for President in 2024 and received 0.4% of the national vote, finishing in 5th place overall, has announced his candidacy for Chair-Identified-Person of the Libertarian Party of Georgia.
Oliver’s campaign aims to transition the party’s focus away from traditional libertarian issues and toward boutique social causes and progressive cultural values.
In his own words:
“I reject Ron Paul and I am #sorrynotsorry about it.”
Oliver embraces an unapologetically woke approach to libertarian messaging, including:
- Support for abortion rights up to and beyond 24 weeks of pregnancy.
- Advocacy for gender-affirming care for minors, including access to puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones.
- A commitment to equity-focused criminal justice reform, ensuring incarcerated individuals have access to taxpayer-funded hormone therapy and gender-affirming treatments as part of their human right to self-expression.
- A deliberate break from the Ron Paul era, moving away from messaging on economics and decentralization.
- Enthusiastic support for masks, vaccines, and other public health measures during covid — with criticism directed at those who resisted mandates.
- Prioritizing identity politics, pronoun visibility, and social justice language in the party’s outreach and communications.
This platform represents a cultural shift for LP Georgia, focusing less on limiting government power and more on promoting social inclusion and progressive activism.
LP Georgia members will have the chance to decide whether to embrace this new direction at the upcoming State Convention on Saturday.
