A Charity Anthology, a 99 cent sale, and personal news
May 16, 2022 1:01 pm
Greetings from rainy Abbotsford, British Columbia!
First, let me apologize for my radio silence - I've been working like a whirling dervish on my next book, and had a huge thing happen in my personal life. (keep reading down where I share my news).
My newest project is a charity anthology! As with many people around the world, I've been horrified at the atrocities in Ukraine. I felt powerless until the opportunity to join an anthology came along. I'm a writer, and the opportunity to use my words means everything to me.
I've joined with over 40 other authors to produce Seeds of Love: A Romance Charity Anthology. I was so excited that I wrote two stories! My BDSM-light romance titled Toronto Tryst is a short story about a married couple and a twenty-fifth anniversary gift to remember. Needless to say, I had a lot of fun with the story and I hope you enjoy it. As Gabbi Grey, I've written a gay romance, The Lightkeeper's Love Affair. And those other forty plus stories? Just about every subgenre imaginable. From contemporary to paranormal, the stories span all types of romance. Including super steamy!
Here are the details:
I'd love for you to purchase the anthology. 100% of the proceeds go to United Help Ukraine.
Now on to the sale! For the first time, the second book in my BDSM dark erotic trilogy, In Their Eyes, is on sale for just 99 cents! Beautiful Eyes is a dark book with a redemptive and happy ending that you don't want to miss.
(And, because I love you, I've put the first book, Amber Eyes, on sale as well in case you haven't had a chance to pick it up.)
Book Two - Beautiful Eyes
Entrepreneur Smith MacLean is obsessed with Alessandra Soriano, a woman he met briefly who disappeared six months ago. After a shocking reunion at Club Kink, he insists she stay with him. He means to find out where she's been.
Alessandra walked away from her life after making a mistake that cost everything. Her self-imposed penance is living in poverty and doing questionable things with questionable people. Now she's in Smith's luxurious condo, under his hand, and obeying his rules.
He has thirty days to convince her to come back from limbo. She has thirty days to convince him she needs to be forgotten. Unless the flames of lust consume them first.
And Book One - Amber Eyes.
School principal Gage Clayton is still grieving the death of his wife and submissive, yet he can't ignore his Dominant needs. As he enters Club Kink, he's inexplicably drawn to a newly released sub with an intriguing proposition and the most captivating amber eyes. But she has disturbing baggage and her expectations prove quite a challenge, one that would necessitate a commitment he's not ready for.
Rielle Reid needs a Dom while she waits for her former Master to return. When she invites a handsome stranger to her home dungeon for a night of play, she's surprised at his gentle dominance—and her response to it. But in the light of day, his demand for equal footing confounds her. After living four years as a twenty-four/seven slave, she has no concept of how to be anything other than property.
Gage must find a way to master Rielle to free them both from the shackles of the past.
Okay, thanks for sticking around - here's my personal news. I've shared this with my family and now I'm sharing with my friends like you!
I was adopted - a long time ago. Although I was raised by two great parents, I did always wonder where I came from. In 2001 I met my biological mother, her husband, her three children, and her parents (my grandparents). The meeting was lovely, and I treasure the time we spent together. That being said, I wanted to know more. My mother gave me my biological father's name and said after my birth that he'd headed back to New Zealand. So I spent twenty years googling a very common name and New Zealand. I never got very far, and worried he might pass before I found him - if I ever did.
Then in December, I got a notice from Ancestry DNA. A woman was trying to contact me. She said we were sisters, and she gave my father's name. Well, DNA is pretty solid, but I knew when she said his name. All the pieces fell into place. Now, I'm a deliberative and sensitive person, so it took a while for all this to sink in. Earlier this month, I finally met my dad and my two sisters.
I'll leave it to you to determine if you see any family resemblance. My sisters Sara (right) and Rachel (left) are amazing women and, of course, Miss Ally had to be in the center of the picture. And Rachel's dog Lou had to be there as well, although she's more tongue than shepherd in the photo.
Do you have a story you want to share? I'd love to hear if you or a family member or a friend is adopted. I am well-aware that not all reunion stories are as joyous as mine. Bonds were solidified, and I plan to see more of my family in the months to come. Hit reply and let me know what you think.
Okay, that's all! Thanks for sticking around. My third book in the series is in edits and I'll have news about it shortly. Finally, if you don't want to receive emails from me anymore, that's fine. Again, just hit reply and let me know you would like to unsubscribe. I'll remove you from the list.
That's all the news from my little corner of Canada.
Take care. Stay safe. Stay dry. Stay sane.
Love, Gabbi
