Greetings from bloody cold Abbotsford, British Columbia!

I was born and raised in Ottawa, Canada. I know cold. But twenty years out here on the west coast has left me spoiled. I just don’t do cold like I used to. And these arctic temperatures we’re enduring with the winds? Too much to bear. I’m bundled up in my new condo and ever so grateful to have a roof over my head and good food in my belly. I’m blessed.

My poor companion Ally isn’t faring so well. We walk halfway down the block and then I wind up carrying her back (good thing she’s such a lightweight). Her little paws aren’t accustomed to the cold, and although she has a lovely winter jacket (that she hates), she’s just not built for this. Also, I took her to the groomers two weeks ago (what was I thinking? Oh yeah, I couldn’t see her face!). Regrets…I have a few. But we’ll survive this week and hopefully the temperatures will get back to just freezing and we can resume our lives. How were your holidays? Mine were quiet. I did meet up with some of my kinky friends before Christmas. Great to see them after two years, but I couldn’t quite believe I was out with people. In the end, I came home early and cuddled with the dog. Much safer. I’ll venture out to visit family later in the week. Speaking of family, Ancestry brought me an early Christmas present. I need permission to share but wow, they do warn you that you never know what might happen.

Book-wise, I’m sending something off to my publisher shortly and I’ll share the news as soon as I hear back. I’ve got plenty planned under another pen name (including a couple of free series starters) so hang tight for that.
