You skipped a step.

Hi ,

Most women buy clothes in this order:

First: The fun stuff. The trendy pieces. The statement items.

Last: The basics. The underwear. The foundational pieces.

This is backwards.

Here's what happens when you do it this way:

You buy a beautiful top. But your bra doesn't work with it.

You buy a gorgeous dress. But you have no shapewear, so it shows every line.

You buy white pants. But your underwear shows through.

You buy nice clothes. But your foundation garments ruin them.

So you spend money on clothes you can't actually wear properly.

The right order is:

First: Foundation. Bras that fit. Seamless underwear. Shapewear if you wear fitted clothes. Quality undershirts.

Second: Basics. Well-fitting jeans. Simple tops. Classic pieces that work with everything.

Third: Statement pieces. The fun stuff. The items that add personality.

When you build from the foundation up, every piece you buy actually works.

When you build from trends down, you end up with a closet full of expensive problems.

If you've been buying clothes that don't work because your foundation isn't right, fix the foundation first.

Then rebuild from there.

P.S. This week, check your undergarments. If your bras are stretched out, your underwear shows lines, or you're making clothes "work" around bad foundations, start there. Everything else will look better once the base is right.
