You walk into an interview.
A meeting.
A networking event.
A client's office.
Before you say anything, people have already seen you.
Your clothing.
Your grooming.
Your hair.
Your overall appearance.
That doesn't mean people know everything about you.
They don't.
But first impressions create a starting point.
And once that impression exists, your words and actions have to work with it.
This is why professional image matters.
Not because your appearance determines your ability.
It doesn't.
Your skills, experience and character matter.
But your image can either support those qualities or distract from them.
You can't control every first impression. But you can be intentional about the one you create.
