This world (the Corona World) we're living in just gets more bizarre by the day.
I know a goal of our overlords has always been to remove cash from our daily lives, and it seems they get a little closer to that every day.
My daughter needed a ride to the pet store the other day, and we stopped by Starbucks, because she loves those white mocha things, and the total was $5.65, and I was paying with 🙀 cash. The young lady behind the counter said they need to round it up to $6 since I didn't have the exact change.
I'm sure the look on my face was interesting. My daughter became very nervous, as she thought I was going to confront the young lady. But I didn't, I just said go ahead I guess.
There's no sense in letting the cashier know my real thoughts on the store's policy, she's just after a paycheck and doing what she's supposed to.
But, that instant made me realize just how serious our government wants to control every aspect of our lives, being able to track every penny we spend, having the ability to withdrawal for suspend accounts as they deem necessary.
