Good morning, and its Monday, and that means one day closer to the end of 2020, who's looking forward to starting a new year and getting away from this one?

Anyway, I am planning to do a big giveaway over in our Facebook group with all the things I've been given to try out over the years, and I ran across my Solo Stove. They contacted me several years ago asking if I'd want to take a look at one of their camping style stoves.

I of course said yes, I mean who doesn't love free stuff right? Especially when it's just going to enhance what I've already got ready in my preps.

When I got it, I was working on some videos for our Facebook group and YouTube channel, so I added it to one. But dumb me, thought I could give this thing a test run inside my garage, which is where I had my video set at the time.

Now, the stove is very solid, well made, and did an incredible job, however I forgot to vent the garage, like at all. Both the back door and large door were closed. Well, needless to say, it took about 5 minutes after I had the fire going, to completely fill the garage, and start seeping into the house.

The garage, is right next to the dining room which lead into the kitchen, where my wife was cooking. First she thought the smoke was from the stove, then quickly realized it was coming from under the door that lead to the garage.

No damage was done of course, the Solo Stove contained the fire in it's base like it was supposed to, and after I got my wife to calm down and realize it was just her husband being dumb, we were able to use it to fix some food we were testing from Legacy Foods.

I will say though, our garage smelled of smoke for quite awhile, and my wife still reminds me of this from time to time.

Now, we've used the Solo Stove several times since this incident, but not inside, only on some of our camping trips. 😁😁😁

Anyway, Solo Stove is having a fall sale right now, everything site wide is at least 15% off but somethings are 25% off. If you've been wanting to get one to try out, or maybe you're looking to get one or a few for gifts, now would be the time to jump on it.

They really are well built stoves, and do the job.

That's my Solo Stove story, hopefully the next one doesn't involved me doing something just a dumb, anyway, lets get into today's topics.
