Who's joining us for an improv party in 2024?

We resolved to bring you more opportunities to learn improv in 2024, and now we have so much happening in the classroom, we can hardly contain ourselves!
First, let us tell you a little story. In the past, we've tried to do something different with our improv training by having a workshop-based Basic Improv Skills course. In hindsight, it was maybe too radical, as it was more confusing to our students than it was revolutionary. We still want to offer flexibility in our improv training, though. So as a compromise, we developed two six-week intro level courses which can be taken in either order for your convenience. Or both at the same time, we suppose. You masochist. There is a Blue class and a Red class, they both start in January, and they can be found below.
If you're a little more advanced in your improv, we have just the workshop for you. In January, Jimmy Carrane, creator of the Improv Nerd podcast and award-winning improv teacher will bring his Two Person Scene Tune Up Workshop to The Bit! This is a unique opportunity to have someone of Jimmy's caliber out in the Western suburbs! Seats are limited, so sign up soon.
In case you missed it, our Intro to Sketch Writing course recently went live online! If you've had an itch to learn to write hilarious sketches, this is your opportunity to scratch that itch at your own pace, while still getting feedback on your creative work.
Lest you think we've forgotten about our younger actors and comedians, the next Improv for Kids class starts in January! We've listed the benefits of improv classes for kids over and over again, so we won't belabor the point, but you can check out some of those benefits here.
We even have something for the beloved lawyers in your lives. Improv for Lawyers is back, and it's approved for PMCLE-credit! If you know what that is, then you know that you need it.
If all of this is overwhelming to you, we have a simple primer of where you can get started in taking classes at The Bit. SPOILERS: You can start your journey any week.
We always want to serve our community, so if there's a class, workshop, or teacher that you'd love to see at The Bit that is not already scheduled, drop us a line! I promise that we listen.
