Hey!

I got up this morning and looked around and thought, "I may be addicted to hatching eggs" . I currently have 3 brooders set up in my house. And I refilled my incubator with more quail eggs. 😲

In my defense, we need more Standard Brahma hens as my rooster has plucked his ladies bald. I want my bird happy, so more hens are needed. that's 2 of my brooders.

The third was set up last night with some tiny little quail. They hatched on my daughter's birthday. I will be hatching quail throughout the summer because we want to have our own source of meat.

Have you ever hatched Coturnix quail? They are the tiniest, cutest little things EVER! I posted a video of a chick this morning on Instagram. They are loud though, as one screams from the brooder.
