how are you handling the shorter, colder days?

Good morning ,
I am struggling. I just want to sit with a cup of coffee or tea, or even a glass of wine depending on the time of the day and read a book. I don't want to homeschool. I don't want to work on my blogs.
But I am forcing myself to work and homeschool by rewarding myself with reading time. Yup, rewarding myself. I also have eggs in our incubators so that is a reward too in a couple weeks which is going to be so cute and fun and totally worth surviving these cold days.
Ways to survive the short, cold days of January and February:
- playdate with friends
- tea time
- morning basket
- read aloud + movies
- shorter weeks - we do four days a week
- take a week off from lessons
- field trips - museum, art gallery, etc.
- go for a walk
- do a science experience
- bake with your kids
Try doing something different from your normal day, it doesn't have to be everyday, just once in awhile in change things up and get you out of your funk.
