The wind and rain are pounding away out there right now. A few minutes ago our power was flickering and I was running around like crazy, .

Why was I running around like crazy? Because I have my incubator running... again. And I have chicks in the brooder.

We have a generator but I have never set it up by myself, so I was running around making sure to get everything in place. including an extension cord that is now running through my house in case I need it.

If you are interested in raising your own chicks this year I recommend heading here and learning more about it. And I am adding more every week!

The one thing I haven't added, yet, is having a backup source of power for your incubator in particular. Maybe I'll head over and write that now.
