2 economies?

Hi
Which social media platform do you use most?
Whichever one, I’d bet you $20 bucks…
It AIN’T Threads.
If you’re not familiar, it's Twitter’s competition.
Excuse me, I mean X.
If you haven't heard of it, no biggie.
At least not yet.
Speaking of social media platforms.
There are just so freakin’ many.
Who in the world can possibly pay attention to’em all?
Which brings us to the heart of today's message.
Attention…
Today, most people consider it the most valuable thing in the world.
All these content platforms certainly do.
In fact, there’s a war going on over it.
A secret one.
All the big tech platforms are involved.
X fighting for Elon Musk.
Threads is Mark Zuckerberg’s underdog challenger.
Not to mention the other fighters like Youtube, Tiktok, and all the rest.
All of them fighting to get your eyes, ears, clicks and scrolls.
Everything they do, a strategic attempt to get you hooked.
Coming back to them for your next hit.
Like a firmly planted flag stabbed deep into your brain.
They try claim ownership over your mind.
Secretly, of course.
Like all drug dealers…
They can’t admit that openly.
That’s manipulation.
But, come on…
We all know what’s going on.
Unfortunately, it’s how the world operates.
Overtly or covertly, we’re all trying to exert some control over the world.
We’re all trying to get “ours.”
Before all these platforms and A.I., things were a bit easier to understand.
The economics of things was easier to keep track of.
The system, a lot simpler.
The supply chain was centralized.
Paths were clearer.
We knew how to advance ourselves.
Go to school, get good grades, a good job, move up the ladder, retire in 30 years.
See?
Simple.
Nowadays it ain’t so cut and dry.
Things are decentralized.
Fractured.
Attention is all over the place.
There is one thing that is for certain still, though.
Something I had a hard time understanding until I read recently...
There are really 2 economies.
Buyers…
And suppliers.
It's always been that way, actually.
I first read it described this way by a man named Frank Aucoin, a serial entrepreneur.
Brilliant dude.
What did he mean by 2 economies?
Well…
Those that consume, which is like 97% of the world and those that supply those consumers.
The thing is 97% of the population, the vast majority, are poor and middle class slave wagers.
The only things they sell, if at all, is their time and effort.
Who do they sell to?
The 3% that supply the rest of the world the stuff they consume.
Where do the consumers get the money to buy?
The vast majority sell their time and effort for that money.
If they stop supplying their time and effort, the money stops coming in.
The key to wealth...
Figure out how to have cash coming in without you constantly supplying your time and effort.
Your time and effort might stop, but the cash flow doesn't.
There are a bunch of ways to do this.
The bottom line, though, is you must…
Become a supplier.
What can you supply that doesn’t require ONGOING time and effort on your part?
We’ll cover that soon.
For now, if you’re seriously interested in freeing yourself from the slave wage mindset...
Stop thinking like a buyer.
Become a supplier.
It happens even easier and faster when you become a supplier to...
OTHER suppliers.
Start thinking about how you SPEND your attention.
It all starts with awareness.
That includes self awareness and where you focus your ATTENTION.
Stop wasting it on anything but things that create supply for those that demand... and buy.
Use the same thinking the platforms are using.
Leave the fighting to the platforms.
You just learn how to effectively leverage them.
Learn how to grab attention by the shirt collar, flip it upside down and shake money out of it for you.
Figuratively, of course.
If you haven't figured it out yet, I might be able to help you.
It’s easier for me to do with some folks reading this than others.
Depends on what resources you’re working with.
