If you don’t know who MrBeast is…

Really?

He’s only the number 1 Youtuber in the world.

Most of his vids are basically about watching him creatively give away giant piles of money.

Or something else immensely valuable.

Entertaining as all get out.

Know what I think is the real appeal of his vids?

Massive good feelz.

He uses the same psychology tricks that "news" organizations use, but the opposite.

Instead of extreme fear mongering, Jimmy (that’s his real name) uses…

I dunno…

Joy-mongering?

Just watch a few videos to see what I’m talking about, but not yet.

First, finish reading this (lol).

Ok, so recently I learned a little h.ack Jimmy does to make his videos easier to make.

This trick profoundly changed how I approach video content creation.

See, now that he’s rich, Jimmy spends inordinate amounts of money creating his viral hit videos.

Each one costs mountains of money to make.

But…

He won’t get started on not a one IF…

He can’t reduce the video concept to just one sentence.

At least that’s the story I got.

After thinking about this a bit, I also remembered advice I heard from Dan Kennedy.

I can’t remember it verbatim, but the gist was, can you reduce your sales letter to just one sentence?

Since he’s an O.G. all his stuff had to work with the economics of newspapers, snail mail and other offline paid media.

Because he was working with limited budgets he had to put a lot of thought into this.

An “L” in this arena could be the difference between going out of business and making piles of moolah.

Anyways, I started thinking about Dan, Jimmy and see if I couldn’t use this to help me with video creation.

Making videos sounds complex and daunting, unless…

You used this same idea.

Can you reduce your video to just one sentence?

Further…

Can you create a relevant thumbnail using the same concept?

Yep.

Now, that’s all I do.

I won’t mess around writing a script, or any of that stuff if I can’t distill it down to just one impactful sentence.
