Hi

Image this is your challenge...

Help make a boring topic go viral to help get more donations.

You execute the plan and these are your results.

1 boring topic video…

About a garden in the desert.

14 million views.

Less than half 1m subs.

Whut?!

For real!

How’d they do it?

Stakes.

It’s basically a video that explains the before and after of a seemingly impossible conundrum.

An outcome wanted.

And the villains and other obstacles keeping that from happening.

A “how done it” of massive accomplishment.

The gist..

A break down.

How they returned what, for the last 40 years, was a barren desert wasteland…

And in just 2 years…

Turned it into lush greenery capable of sustainable food supplies for entire populations.

The villain…

The Bureaucracy of the U.N.

Other obstacles…

Mother nature and the monumental size of the task.

Admittedly, the production value was great.

It’s all live footage stuff and the editing and effects were awesome.

This was definitely involved.

But the thing you might miss IF you’re not careful…

The genius of this video…

Was what it was ultimately about…

Permaculture.

The development of agricultural ecosystems to be sustainable and self-sufficient.

And donations.

This was an educational content piece to help the World Food Programme organization get more donations.

Can you imagine being the marketing guy involved with this?

Marketing strategist: What niche are you in and what do you need help with?

WFP: Permaculture. We want more donations. Can you help?

Marketing strategist: Permaculture? Like gardens and farmland?

WFP: Well… yeah… sorta. Oh, and we don’t have a huge budget. We heard you’re the best.

While this might not be entirely the way it went down…

I can’t imagine it being too far off.

The strategist that helped them pull it off…

A twenty something year old is a 28 year Youtube nerd.

His words.

His name, Paddy Galloway.

All he does is help brands go viral on Youtube organically.

He’s not the only one that does this, but he’s one of the best.

He’s someone I discovered while going down the rabbit hole of organic mini viral reach.

There are MANY others.

All of them some version of a new age growth hacker.

Each with a different platform or format superpower.

Some do it just for themselves.

Others do it for others.

Still yet, others teach.

I’ll be introducing you to them as we spend more time together.

There’s a lot they have to impart.

And a lot I want to unpack.

For me?

I plan to add to the thread of knowledge by adding some of the little bit of what I’ve done and grow from there.

I’m just adding to my catalog of useful knowledge for those that care to learn from me.

Is that you?

I’ll be doing a training about this, soon.

Any interest?

P.S. Next, a mini viral view case study or…

How I got over 1,000 views in one day for one super basic vid….

With no budget.

No actors.

Still worked.

How I did it on purpose….

And how anyone else can do this, too.

See ya next one.
