Remember the 823,000 monthly searches for "remote jobs" I mentioned yesterday?

It’s weird.

I thought the spike would’ve happened right during the pandemic.

It’s not.

While, yes, it was trending upward, the trend was gradual.

In fact, it started trending downwards in August 2021.

Then, suddenly…

Between December 2021 and January 2022…

It explodes up and to the right.

Why?

Because…

Folks were being asked to come back into the office.

After realizing that most work could be done from home…

Who’d want to go back to the office?

Hence, a lot of folks start looking for new opportunities.

And when’s the PERFECT time to present someone with a new opportunity?

Right when it’s top of mind for them and they’re lookin’!

That’s how most of this stuff works.

If you’re happy and content with whatever your situation, you don’t just randomly up and leave.

If you like what you have and someone offers you something else…

“No thanks.”

But…

All of a sudden you’re like, “Whatchu got?”
