It’s the first thing I thought of when I saw someone ask in a copywriting group if Freelancing was dead.

It’s not.

In fact, it’s CROWDED AF!

Upwork, one of, if not, the largest freelancing platforms online said that in 2023…

64 million Americans or 38% of the U.S. workforce did some kind of freelance work.

That’s up from 60 million Americans in 2022.

This upward trend has only gone up since the worldwide viral scare of 2020.

What’s that mean to you?

Well, if you’re at all considering a side hustle, be prepared…

You’re facing STIFF competition.

That ocean is bloody red as hellllllo…

How are you gonna differentiate yourself?

What can you do?

How can you take some of that Trillion dollar pie for yourself.

Yes… with a capital “T.”

I didn’t make that up.

The same Upwork study said freelancers added 1.27 TRILLION munees to the U.S. economy.

How can you get you some o’dat?

I don’t know about you, but for my share…

I damn sure do NOT want to have to compete too hard.

The key is obvs figuring out how to circumvent competition altogether.

Go blue ocean.

And the the bluest ocean strategy I know of is something not too many people are talking about.

And thank goodness for that.

Because as soon as too many people see a thing working…

They ruin it.

For that reason, I’m glad my partner and I figured out a way to carve out our piece of the massive pie…

WITHOUT dealing with all the circle jerk competition that’s out there.

The good news is…

There’s MORE than enough pie to go around and for the right folks we’re happy to share it.
