Before I get to the usual erudite discussion and intriguing links, let me set the phasers to stunning with this cover of my newest book.

The cover picture represents a scene from the early chapters.

Crisis in Fire and Snow is available in ebook and paperback. I was about to give a description - but you can click the link to read the description.

Also, check out this new place to get my books: Threading the Rude Eye direct sale (sort of)- an alternative to the big river site. I'll be putting the others there as well.

After tackling a couple short stories, my next novel will be a mystery, tentatively entitled, Trailer Park Dreams. Then I'll be on to the adventures of Rip and Antonio during the events of Crisis in Fire and Snow for Book 7 in the Tomahawks and Dragon Fire Series.

Hey, I have a couple paperbacks and perhaps an ebook to give away. What's the best way to do that and also attract new subscribers and readers? Do you have suggestions?

I recently finished a "radio show" stage performance of "The Christmas Story" in which I played the grown up Ralph (narrator), and a couple other small parts. It gave me an opportunity to play with some American accents and butcher a John Wayne impression. We also did the short radio play "The Christmas Truce" in which I was one of four British soldiers--so that was another accent I successfully bruised.

What's your favorite accent to play with?

Nice thing reported to me last week:

"[Author X] mentioned the art of drawing in a reader and cliffhangers and of course I immediately think of your books: you have mastered the art!"

Get into this collection of fantasy and adventure tales of all genres -- pay special attention to the first two books. I know the author and those two are only 99 cents at the present.

Here's a bunch of books suited for winter reading.

Troy Young would like to introduce you to the first book in his Companions of the Stone series with Book One: The Stone of Death.

"[A]n epic quest with a misfit cast of characters. Intrigue, action, secret cults, lies..."
