The Broken Vow

Siguro familiar sayo ang linyang, "Promises are meant to be broken."

That's why when you experienced betrayal, napapa agree ka na agad.

Kasi nga validated ang broken promises sa relationship mo.

Pero alam mo ba na biblical din talaga na di ka dapat mag promise kung di mo kayang panindigan?

I'll prove it to you through these verses:

Deuteronomy 23

21 If you make a vow to the Lord your God, do not be slow to pay it, for the Lord your God will certainly demand it of you and you will be guilty of sin.

22 But if you refrain from making a vow, you will not be guilty.

23 Whatever your lips utter you must be sure to do, because you made your vow freely to the Lord your God with your own mouth.

Sounds interesting?

Notice how Verses 21 and 23 are heavily connected.

Kapag nag promise ka at di mo ginawa, naturally, guilty ka.

But notice how Verse 22 clearly said the opposite of you not being guilty when you won't make any vow.

Listen.

Kung may ginawa kang promise kay Lord lalo na after betrayal, be sure to do it.

May mga panahon na due to circumstances, you can't fulfill it but be sure to look back to your promise when you did it.

Kagaya ko tonight.

I remember I made a vow to God of giving value through the #FJLiveTherapy every Friday at 9pm sa Facebook Page natin.

And my vow or promise is to please the Lord not you.

But I can't do it tonight.

Kasi nasa hospital ulit ang Papa namin and my help is needed in some areas that's why I'm not at home right now.

And as I'm typing these, 30 minutes na lang at mag 9pm na.

Pressured?

Not at all.

Kasi alam ko na I'll keep my promise pa rin and bounce back lang lagi.

So, am I breaking my promise ?

Not at all.

After all, I can't control the situation.

I simply think of the solution.

Kaya isipin mo lagi ang solution hindi ang problema.

That way, ikaw ay liligaya, even after his betrayal pa. :)

To your peace and joy,

FJ Lapera

P.S. See you LIVE sa Facebook Page next Friday, 9pm.
