[Monday Reflection] How love can expand you

Effort is a great act of showing your love for someone.

Lalo na when you know in your heart you're doing something out of gratitude and... without expecting anything in return.

This is what I've been doing recently.

Kasi our eldest is finally getting married this July and since I love designing and crafting, I volunteered to do her wedding invitation and magnetic bookmark for souvenirs.

But here's the truth.

Even if I love doing it, nakakapagod sya at some point.

From designing to waiting for the print outs kasi matagal ang waiting time due to higher quality prints to...

...spending my quality time for it while being a hands on mom to my clingy son.

Nakakapagod pero... worth it.

And as passionate as I am doing it, I realized this effort I'm doing is the same with relationships.

Kasi kapag genuine ang pagmamahal mo sa isang tao, kahit nakakapagod at some point, you'll choose to love and keep doing secret or special acts for that person.

Like my case now.

Kasi di talaga act of service ang top love language ko kaya for me doing this act of love for my ate is a big thing.

Parang sa relationship lang din ulit...

We have different love languages that's why we need to adjust.

We need to showcase our love lalo na if the love language we offer is the exact need of our love one.

Like in my sister's case, for years, naging giver sya sa amin in all ways kaya walang katumbas na halaga rin ang deserve nya for all the effort she showered to us, her siblings, lalo na both of our parents are already with the Lord.

That's why if I have one great advice for you...

It's this:

Lagi mong isipin ang mga magandang ginawa sayo ng husband, partner or ex mo ever since your world with him began despite ALL the misery you've experienced with him.

Para instead na mag complain ka, you'll begin to at least be grateful sa mga beautiful memories that you've been together.

Remember...

When you complain, you remain.

Moreover, lagi mong isipin na whenever you reciprocate something to anyone (even to strangers)...

Do it out of love.

Yung wala kang hinihinging kapalit.

Kasi by doing that, kahit di mo man hingiin, one day, that person will remember ALL the good stuff you did and it's either they reciprocate it back to you out of love and gratitude also or...

They pay it forward to another soul who needed that love while you're being paid more than you imagine by the Lord.

In short, whatever you sow will not be wasted.

And remember, life is always a season.

Kung feeling mo aping api ka ngayon, belittled, disrespected or...

...you feel neglected and rejected...

This season will just pass.

And one day, the beautiful season you've been waiting will blossom for you just as you've opened your heart for PEACE and FORGIVENESS sa lahat ng mga taong nakasakit sayo.

And speaking of forgiveness...

I'll share to you one biggest lesson I've learned out of yesterday's heartbreaking event sa buhay ko.

So stay tuned if you'd love to receive more realizations and lessons this week.

And if I may ask...

What's your BIGGEST REALIZATION recently?

I'd love to hear it from you if you let me, .

To your peace and joy,

FJ "With Forgiving Heart" Lapera
