You have only one job

Can you guess what our one -- YOUR one -- obligation is ?
I'll let you think about it for a second...
To take care of your family?
To make money?
To be a good employee?
To help the children in Africa?

It's neither of these actually.
Here's what Marcus Aurelius has to say about this:
"What is your vocation? To be a good person."
Above all else, the Stoics believe that our job is to be a good human being.
And you know the famous Bill Bellichik strategy that helped him win hundreds of games in the NFL: "Do your job."
That's what I am asking myself all the time: "Am I doing my job well enough?"
Did I get up early enough?
Am eating healthy enough?
Am I exercising enough?
Am I using my time the best I can?
Am I doing enough for myself?
Am I helping others as well, and not being a selfish prick?
Am I enjoying life enough?
...
There are a million other questions like these. Because being a good person does not only mean being helpful to others. It means being 'good' overall.
And what does being good mean? You can define that for yourself. But the main thing is: Don't be a jerk to others, nor to yourself.
So let me say it once again: Do your fu#*!ng job, !
See you around,
Filip
P. S. Was this week's issue as good as the previous ones? If not, blame it on my oral surgery because I'm still under the influence of a shit-ton of strong meds.
