Dear False Potato Mother, I was banned!

Dear False Potato Mother,
I have decided that both the email list and blog portion of this site are called False Potato Mother. That feels good and true. The name came to me in a dream. It felt important so I wrote it down.
In other other news, I have been banned from Gumroad! For selling sexually explicit material! How gross. I'll have to find another website, to sell those things on that doesn't care if I want to put a picture of my butthole in a pdf. The world is too terrified of sex. I've read that the US is less comfortable with sexuality than Europe, but that we are also more comfortable with violence. That feels right. I'd rather there be sex in the world than violence. In the meantime the links to buy/download digital versions of my books will be down for a bit. I'll post again when I fix it.
I have moved into an RV in rural washington! I'm working from home! It's kinda cool. I've started knitting. I'm terrible at it. For now. Nothing to make you aware of your own poor attention span when you're trying to do knit one purl one and you end up with like knit five purl one knit two purl six but you think you've done it perfectly.
I'm currently reading The Farseer Trilogy by Robin Hobb. I highly recommend it. It's a (surprisingly grim) fantasy series from the 90s that has a canon nonbinary character. How cool! Also it manages to neatly avoid the trope of "main character is the most special boy who is the best at everything." Yes, I'm looking at you Patrick Rothfuss.
I have work coming out soon in two places, both of them curated by Blake Butler. If you don't know Blake, he's the guy who inadvertently introduced me to small press literature in 2010 thanks to his old blog HTMLgiant. The first project I'll be in is called WANTED. Issue one should be up very soon, and I have a chapbook-length project in it called Woe. It's a bit of a sidestep from the kind of thing I usually write and I'm eager to hear what y'all think of it. Email me if you get a chance to read it after it comes out.
The second thing I have work coming out in is an anthology called You May Now Fail to Destroy Me: American Writers on Their Most Dangerous Beliefs, edited by Blake along with Ken Baumann. It features a poem that email subscribers may have gotten a secret peek at. Shhhh. Pre-orders will go up on July 1st. You can still sign up for that email list here, it will give you everything that's on this blog but in your inbox, but also sometimes I'll just send you secret writing that people on the blog don't get to read. It's all free. Fuck substack fuck all that shit this is just pure email list like it's 1996 babeeyy
Okay cuties, talk to you later
