Hello, readers! Iām Penny Zeller and I write Christian romanceāmainly historicals, but a few contemporary romances are peppered in for good measure. I seek to honor my Lord and Savior with every book I write. My books are all happily-ever-afters and all include faith, humor, and memorable characters.
Iām so excited to be a part of Faithbooks. Today, in celebration of the release of my book, Loveās Promise, Book #4 in my Wyoming Sunrise Series, I wanted to share with you some fun tidbits about the individual books in the series.
Ā· Loveās New Beginnings (Prequel) For this book, I had to research stagecoach rules in the 1800s for main character, Lydieās, journey to Willow Falls in the Wyoming Territory. One such rule was no snoring on the stagecoach.
Ā· Forgotten Memories (Book #1) The humorous scene with Louie, the Red Angus calf in the schoolhouse, was inspired by a real-life interview for one of my nonfiction books.
Ā· Dreams of the Heart (Book #2) John Mark Eliason has consistently rated at the top of the list for swoon-worthy male characters in this series. Who wouldnāt adore this handsome deputy? For this book, I researched the different tasks sheriffs undertook in the 1800s, including keeping the peace, collecting taxes, keeping the streets clear of dead animals, and cleaning up manure.
Ā· When Love Comes (Book #3) I conducted a ton of research for this book, which includes reader favorites, Myrtle and Fern, the two aunts who cause quite a stir with their ornery antics. (By the way, donāt ever eat Aunt Myrtleās huckleberry pie. Just sayinā.) I researched pie-eating contests, train robberies, and blacksmiths so I could craft handsome blacksmith, Tobiasās, character. Speaking of researchā¦ I discovered a story about a pie-eating contest in the late 1800s. During this contest, some unkind people decided to fill the pies with leather and nails. Yes, leather and nails. Needless to say, the perps were in a huge amount of trouble for their shenanigans.
Ā· Loveās Promise (Book #4) Who doesnāt love a redeemed hero? Silas McFadden, my brawny and rugged main male character, along with dapper Caleb from Forgotten Memories, both fit this description. A touching scene between main female character, Amaya, and her grandmother was fully handwritten in the dentistās office while waiting for my daughter.
A Special Invitationā¦
I hope you enjoy reading this series as much as I enjoyed writing it. Loveās Promise is on sale for 99 cents in celebration of its release on March 19. As a special gift, be sure to snag An Unexpected Arrival, a Wyoming Sunrise novelette, for free for signing up for my newsletter.
The Wyoming Sunrise Series is currently available in Kindle Unlimited, and Iād love to connect with you on my website, Facebook where I post faith, encouragement, and humor posts, and on BookBub where I give an insight as to what Iām reading these days.
Happy Reading!
