Hi! I’m Valerie Comer, and I’m so happy to share with you today! I started dreaming of being an author waaaaay back when I first realized somebody wrote those delightful stories I loved to read. Reading and writing have such a magical symbiotic relationship, and I absolutely adore participating in both sides of that coin.

God created the universe out of nothing, and we are made in His image. Isn’t it amazing that the gift of imagination is one He’s imparted to us? Anyone in the arts, be it music or dance or art or writing (not a complete list, I know!) is literally creating something out of nothing, like God.

No, I’m not putting story-creation on the same pedestal as universe-creation! But, in some small way, I get to participate in bringing something into being that didn’t exist before. All the letters — all the words in the English language — can be combined in an infinite number of ways to tell an unlimited number of stories. Wow.

I’ve been indie publishing since 2014. This is my day job, and I couldn’t love it more… except for, you know, THOSE days. Because we all have them! But I’m truly blessed to have published 55 titles of Christian contemporary romance in the past ten years, a mix of stories in various lengths in ten series (and counting).

Most of my stories are set in the Inland Northwest (western Montana, Idaho, and eastern Washington) although I am a Canadian from just across the border in British Columbia. Long story how that came about! In all of them, you’ll find engaging characters, strong communities, deep faith, and sweet romance.

Of those 10+ series, some are small town and some are “farm fresh” with a focus on local foods and sustainability. Three of the series are cowboy romances, and that’s what I’d like to share with you today.
