Dear ,
So many unexpected developments, I hope you are ready.
HERE IS THE LINK TO THE VIDEO- HERE IS THE FULL SUMMARY!
Last year was an incredible experience for us because so many projects started at the same time. Let me give you a glimpse into what our year looked like:
A laboratory at the technical university in Zittau became fully operational, which means we can now run university tests round the clock that the German government funds.
These tests aren't just for us; they are documented and become parts of released studies. This means that you will be able to read documents to support what we've been talking about for years!
You already know that we convert waste into clean energy. But in the last year, we have changed the whole paradigm.
Before we used air and the waste in the gasification reactor to produce syngas that then can be turned into electricity, now we have gone one giant step further. In the simplest terms, we are now using oxygen and steam to turn waste into hydrogen at a higher efficiency rate!
This is so exciting because we are now the front runners in this entirely new industry. We can produce hydrogen from multiple waste streams anywhere in the world where needed.
In an article this year, the "Berliner Zeitung" named us one of three German top hydrogen companies out there getting ready for a trillion-dollar market. We are still getting amazing feedback from the article in the new year.

We established a new team at Udayana University in Bali. They are finishing our first international project that will also be running on waste to hydrogen and converting waste streams in Indonesia into clean power right on site. This will eventually turn into a commercial project, but for our first public showcase of what this technology can do, we will work to treat and end the waste pandemic here in southeast Asia.
In other super exciting news, we are working on a project in France, and we are so proud of our technical team dominating this big international tender to turn the household waste of a big city into clean hydrogen and later methane on site. I can't give away more, but in due time I will, and you'll be smiling for weeks!
We have been the absolute frontrunner; we are probably the only company in the world right now that can do that, so we are excited that our team has taken that contact and driven revenue from it. Our small team has beaten out some of the biggest competitors in the world on the technical level, which is why I am super proud of the guys who made this happen.
This is going to be the big European showcase. I can't wait till I can finally tell you about it. I hope you feel the excitement in my writing.
Another significant change in the way we work is us listing on WeFunder. We had to be creative after losing access to roadshows and being stuck in Asia while our team is in Germany and most of our investors are in the US. We tried out crowdfunding. In complete honesty, I wasn't sure how or if it would even work. But we found over 320 new investors, change-makers like you who support us, reach out to friends, and help us bring this technology to the US market.
HOW THIS WORKS:
We take the money from WeFunder and leverage it with the German government fund. There's our R&D. This is why even the relatively small amounts we raised on WeFunder for us make a multimillion-dollar difference.
I don't mention enough and don't give nearly enough credit to our team, the people working on obtaining government grants. As you've seen in our labs, what we do costs a lot; we raised $1.7 million in government grants in the last year alone. Not all of this goes to us directly, a large amount goes to partners, the universities, and many more people to get all of this done. I am super thankful to our team, who have successfully done this and made the incredible possible.
We believe in what we do. Everyone is chipping in; together we are solving the global waste pandemic, which is why it's so important that we see this through and bring this technology to markets.
None of this would be possible without the massive support of the German government, the state agency of Saxony that is supporting all of us in this development.
Let's talk R&D
Many of you have asked about our structure and, of course, our income revenue situation as a company. There isn't much to report right now, but I can tell you were doing pretty well.
Usually, after such a long period of R&D (Research and Development), a company has massive debts. Elon Musk is probably one of the most outstanding CEOs in human history who had hundreds of millions of debt by the time they pretty much built their first car.
We have avoided all of that. We have two companies; we have Zero X or Zero Carbon as the holding in the US, and we have MFC - multi-fuel conversion GmbH in Germany as our developing company.
Our developing company has made about €250 - €300,000, which means around $350,000 revenue last year, most of it from doing paid research for this beautiful city in France, and is pretty much debt-free. Amazing right? I think we have taken on one loan of €50,000 that is a covid relief package, but generally, we are debt-free, have no short-term financial commitments, and are incredibly lean.
Management doesn't get paid in our company, so we do this out of passion and love. If you want to look deeper into those numbers, I think you'll be very impressed with how much development we get done with so little money. I'm proud to say we make huge companies look bad!
Next year we anticipate our first two commercial projects, which will be around 1-1.5 million. To make this product viable on a global stage, we will need more prominent partners to help this grow. We will either sell parts of the companies and get joint venture partners or sell the company entirely. In a nutshell, one of these will be the next step, as we believe that time is of the essence in solving the global waste pandemic; we don't want to take the time to do it all on our own. We need strong partners to get that technology in every part of the world as quickly as possible.
We are asking for your support; if you have a partner we can work with to bring this technology to market faster, let's do it; we can't wait; the waste pandemic keeps getting worse, and we are drowning while we wait. Let's solve it now!
Best Wishes
Julien
