Almost Shaking Hands with History: My Near-Meeting with RFK Jr.

May 23, 2023 10:56 am

Recently it was my son's 2-year birthday (2 years old, how did that happen?)

And a colleague of mine came to the house for a BBQ to celebrate with us.

While catching up, he asked me if I would like to meet Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Sure, why not.

I guess RFK Jr. is a family friend of my colleagues and was putting together a small closed-door meeting with a few people, and he offered me an invite.

The only problem was we didn’t have a date, time, or location yet…

This week I am in Barbados with my wife, so my colleague told me just to "have a bag packed, and as soon as we know the details, I will let you know, and you can fly in and meet him."

So I did as was instructed. Bag packed, proper clothes set aside, phone on, waiting for the message to arrive.

On Thursday afternoon, I get the message, fly to such and such island…

Great, I wake my wife up from her nap, and we go to buy the flight tickets. The flight departs in 65 minutes, and check-in closes in 5 minutes…

Crap, we are at least 20 minutes away from the airport.

Check other flights, nothing; private charter, nothing.

Literally, no way to get off Barbados in time to make the meeting.

Basically, if the message had come in maybe half an hour earlier, I would have got to have a sit-down meeting with RFK Jr.

I have been told not to worry; a second opportunity will come up later this year...

Last year we almost had RFK Jr. as a speaker at my conference to speak about the corruption regarding covid vaccines and the mandates.

That would have been amazing and would have completed my keynote speaker line-up joining Congressman Dr. Ron Paul, Jim Rogers, and my friend Doug Casey.

Anyways, next time...

By the way, Barbados is beautiful, highly recommended.

Back to Panama soon,

Mikkel
